Sean Chambers

Sean Chambers

Sean Chambers first hit the music scene in Florida in the early nineties playing everything from his favorite blues covers to his own original works. He quickly began to establish a large following around the state with his raucous and intense live shows, and always left the crowd wanting more. Over the years Sean has shared the bill with BB King, Greg Allman, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, James Cotton and Walter Trout to name a few. After jamming with Walter Trout in Minnesota at a post Blues Fest Party in front of a few thousand riled up fans, Walter stated "I don't usually ask people to get up on stage with me, but this kid's got a hell of a lot of soul! He plays his ass off!"

Shortly after the release of Strong Temptation, Chambers started touring with Hubert Sumlin as his bandleader and guitar player. "I've learned so much from Hubert it's been kind of like my college education," Chambers says. Sean's band has not only been able to back up Hubert (performing most of the Howlin Wolf hits along with a lot of Hubert's own work) but they usually open up the show with a blistering 45 to 60 minute set, featuring songs from Strong Temptation, as well as some tunes from their soon to be recorded second album entitled "Hi Fi And Low Down." Chambers is now preparing to record his second solo album. The album will consist mostly of original music with a few remakes of some older gems. "On this record we have some heavier stuff that would be classified as Rock or Blues Rock, but it all comes from the blues. My heroes range from Hendrix, Clapton, Billy Gibbons, Robin Trower and Stevie Ray, to Lightning Hopkins, Muddy Waters, Freddie, BB and Albert King. This record will have a little bit of all that stuff in there."
